3D polymer nanomagnetic (3D/GO/Fe3O4) adsorbent was fabricated and used for determining removal of 2,4-D from an aqueous solution. The adsorbent was characterised by FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, VSM, and TGA. The influence of pH, contact time, 2,4-D initial concentration, temperature and adsorbent dosage in adsorption efficiency was examined. Maximum removal (100%) was observed at the optimum adsorption condition (pH: 3, contact time: 180 min, adsorbent dosage: 5 g/L, and temperature: 50 degrees C). Moreover, the equilibrium adsorption data were fitted to Langmuir (R-2 = 0.995) and pseudo-second-order model (R-2 = 0.991). The model parameters were evaluated and maximum adsorption capacity (q(max) = 5.62 mg/g) was reported. In addition, applying adsorbent to remove 2,4-D from the real samples of agricultural wastewater shows successfully 100% removal efficiency. Therefore, according to removal efficiency (100%), this adsorbent is an excellent alternative for removal herbicide in high temperature industry.
