Graphene materials are under intense research for the fabrication of gas sensors because of their two-dimensional conjugated structures, fast electron mobility and large specific surface areas. In this article, we report on an efficient graphene based H-2 gas sensor fabricated by wet chemical methods. Unlike other solid-state gas sensors, the graphene sensor can be operated at room temperature. Changes in the device conductance are measured using digital handheld multimeter for various concentrations of H-2 gas adsorbed on the surface of graphene. The outstanding flexibility of the reduced graphene films ensures stable sensing performance in device subjected to extreme bending stress. The advantages of this sensor are very good sensitivity, quick response time, short recovery time, and low power consumption.
