▎ 摘 要
The development in construction industry is due to the versatile usage of the concrete. Cement is the main ingredient of concrete and its production leaves a remarkable carbon foot print on the planet. One of the efficient and emerging technologies actively reducing the carbon emission from cement manufacturing is incorporating the nano materials in concrete. This study was started by adding nano-graphene oxide dispersion (nGO - 0.5% concentration) to concrete as an additive in 1, 3, and 5%, by weight of cement and the cube compressive strength was studied. Based upon the results and considering the cost effectiveness, Fine tuning of the proportion is done by successive trials of 2.5, 2.75 and 3.5% of nGO, respectively. The experimental results for all the 6 variations and the reference mix for 28 days cube compressive strength, split tensile strength on cylinder, flexural strength on prism, MOE (Modulus of elasticity) by compressive stress-strain study on cylinder revealed that the concrete mix GC2.75 (with 2.75% nGO) showed a marginal increase of 56, 23, 23 and 128%, respectively. The RCPT (Rapid chloride penetration test) results also showed the GC2.75 concrete is 50% impermeable when compared with the reference concrete. However, the workability reduced as the content of nGO increased.
