Sandwich-like porous TiO2/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites were prepared through a facile solvothermal method. These composites with porous structures and high electrical conductivity showed high capacity, rate capability and cycling stability when used as an anode electrode material for lithium ion batteries. A reversible capacity of 206 mA h g(-1) can be retained at a current rate of 0.1 A g(-1) after 200 charge-discharge cycles. Remarkably, a high reversible capacity of similar to 128 mA h g(-1) at a current density of 5 A g(-1) can be obtained.
