▎ 摘 要

The interlayer shear resistance plays an important role in graphene related applications, and different mechanisms have been proposed to enhance its interlayer load capacity. In this work, we performed molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and theoretical analysis to study interlayer shear behaviors of three dimensional graphene-carbon (3D-GC) nanotube networks. The shear mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) crosslink with different diameters are obtained which is one order of magnitude larger than that of other types of crosslinks. Under shear loading, 3D-GC exhibits two failure modes, i.e., fracture of graphene sheet and failure of CNT crosslink, determined by the diameter of CNT crosslink, crosslink density, and length of 3D-GC. A modified tension-shear chain model is proposed to predict the shear mechanical properties and failure mode of 3D-GC, which agrees well with MD simulation results. The results presented in this work may provide useful insights for future development of high-performance 3D-GC materials. Published by AIP Publishing.
