Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) have been considered the ideal candidates for energy storage applications due to their high security, low cost, and eco-friendliness. However, the construction of suitable cathodes with advantageous nanostructures and compositions for ZIBs is in progress. Herein, the graphene-supported porous V2O3 nanocomposite (V2O3@graphene) derived from V-MOF@graphene is rationally fabricated and applied as an advanced cathode for ZIBs. Owing to the unique channels and abundant micropores of porous V2O3, high electrical conductivity of graphene, and robust composite architecture, the V2O3@ graphene cathode presents exceptional electrochemical performance. Thus, the V2O3@graphene cathode can deliver a high capacity (450 mA h g(-1) at 0.1 A g(-1)), remarkable rate performance (350 mA h g(-1) at 2 A g(-1)), and outstanding cyclic stability (87% capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 2 A g(-1)). This work broadens the research of developing high-performance vanadium-based cathodes for ZIBs.
