▎ 摘 要
Fabrication of the large magnetic moment, water stable, nanoscale zero-valent Iron (Fe-0) as a desirable component for application in nanotechnology and multifunctional composite has shown to be a great challenge. Here, a facile, cost-effective, and green synthesis of Fe-0 nano-crystals intercalated within graphene (Gr) flakes based on simultaneous Gr-exfoliation/Iron-deposition is demonstrated. The Fe-0/Gr formed as intercalated Fe-0/Fe2O3 structure into expanded multi layered Gr with a large magnetic moment and remarkable solution stability is used to remove pollutants from wastewater. We explore remediation capability of Methyl Orange (MO), Methylene Blue (MB), Crystal Violet (CV) and Rhodamine B (RhB) dye solutions. Application of this new nanocomposite for removing pollutants from dye water shows highly-efficient remediation for both cationic and anionic common azo dyes thanks to the sorption capability of iron in conjunction with activated carbon functional groups.
