A voltammetric sensor based on Nitrogen-doped rGO (NrGO) nanocomposites along with thionine (Thi) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) is fabricated for the detection of Cancer Antigen CA125. Composites prepared with Carbon Nanofibers (NrGO/CNF) and Carbon Nanotubes (NrGO/CNT) are used as transducer materials and the variation in Differential Pulse Voltammetric output is analysed. The incorporation of carbon variants facilitated the signal amplification and sensitivity of the sensor fabricated. Moreover, it also provided wide range of current output, which indicated the suitability for detection in wide range of concentration (here, 10 U mL(-1) to 32 x 10(-4) U mL(-1)). Satisfactory linearity is observed on using NrGO/CNT and NrGO/CNF. NrGO/CNF exhibited better sensitivity with a limit of detection 0.28 U mL(-1). Thus, a reliable immunosensor with dual antibody (Ab1-x75 and Ab2-x306) was fabricated and is tested for both commercial and clinical antigen.
