▎ 摘 要
For the first time, herein formic acid is used to reduce precursor for uniformly distributed ultrasmall Pd nanocrystals on graphene as an electrocatalyst towards formic acid oxidation, demonstrating more negative half-wave potential, much higher catalytic current density, lower charge-transfer resistance and better stability than that of the commercial Pd/C catalyst. Except the contribution of the ultrasmall Pd nanocrystals and graphene to the better catalytic performance than the commercial one, we argue that it could be also attributed to the Pd nanoparticles formed by reduction of formic acid to naturally possess strong affinity for strong absorption towards its oxidation for fast electrooxidation process.
