The potential for graphene coatings to serve as a barrier to aqueous corrosion has not been widely studied. Herein we report the electrochemical response of graphene-coated nickel and copper, where by a graphene layer was shown to substantially reduce the corrosion rate. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd.
