▎ 摘 要
Gamma irradiation was used as an effective and "eco-friendly" route for production of graphene sheets. The corrosion behavior of AISI 316 steel coated with gamma irradiated graphene (GIG) and its composites containing different concentrations of an organic inhibitor was evaluated in 0.5 M sulfuric acid solution. TEM and FTIR spectroscopy confirmed the successful incorporation of inhibitor molecules into the GIG matrix. Potentiodynamic polarization indicated the protection efficiency offered by GIG coatings which was enhanced upon using the inhibitor with GIG. The protection efficiency increased (up to 95.8%) with increasing the inhibitor concentration with an optimum concentration of 2 mM. EIS measurements confirmed the stability of the coatings after prolonged immersion time in solution. FE-SEM was used to study the surface morphology of the coatings. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V.
