▎ 摘  要

The recently proposed digital metamaterial offers a simple but powerful approach to achieve different effective material parameters through various mixtures of two available materials. In this paper, the graphene digital metamaterial (GDM) is first ever reported, where the graphene-cladded dielectric rods (GCDRs) are employed as the digital bit units. Due to the tunability of graphene, the effective permittivity of composite can be tailored by changing both Fermi level of graphene and filling ratio of the core and shell. Hence, compared to the digital metamaterial using the conventional noble metal, GDM has the advantage to keep the digital bit units of the same geometric size, which makes the fabrication process much easier and more convenient. Based on the flexible configuration of the graphene digital bit units, several applications are presented to prove the good prospect of GDM, including the anomalous transmission, lens, and black hole.
