In this work, graphene oxide/-cyclodextrin (GO/-CD) composite was synthesised and applied to construct a highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for the determination of propyl gallate (PG) and butyl hydroxy anisole (BHA) in edible oil, simultaneously. Various methods were used to characterize the properties of GO/-cyclodextrin composite. Furthermore, the oxidation peak currents of PG and BHA were increased obviously at the modified glassy carbon electrode, which improved the sensitivity of proposed method. Under optimal conditions, the peak currents of PG and BHA increased linearly with its concentration in the range of 0.1-30.0mol/L and 0.05-30mol/L, respectively. The limit of detections were as low as 0.01mol/L and 0.03mol/L, respectively. Finally, the sensor was successfully applied to edible oil sample analysis. The recoveries varied from 95.3% to 108.6% with the RSDs 2.9%-4.9%, indicated that the proposed sensor can be used for the simultaneous determination of PG and BHA in edible oil.
