A theory of an optical self-induced transparency soliton propagating in a waveguide in the presence of a graphene monolayer is constructed. The perturbation theory based on the inverse scattering problem method is used for obtaining explicit analytical expressions for parameters of the (2 pi pulse) soliton. It is demonstrated that taking into consideration the effects of conductivity in the graphene monolayer leads to exponential variation of the amplitude (width) of the waveguide-mode soliton during propagation.
