Health monitoring and automatic notification system is crucial to the patients who suffer from apnea. However, most of them would not make any alert by themselves. They still need to work together with speakers or vibrators to remind the patients of their health conditions, leading to system complexity, low system integration, and poor reliability. Herein, a one-step health monitoring and automatic notification device (HMAND) based on the electrothermal effect of laser-induced graphene (LIG) is proposed to realize the integrated function of respiration monitoring and self-alarming on a single device at the same time. The periodic temperature change of the device is caused by breathing when it works in the monitoring mode. In the meantime, the HMAND will generate plenty of thermal energy to notify and rouse the patient when it detects abnormal breathing conditions. This study will be helpful for patients who suffer from apnea and open up a new way to realize the innovative applications in multifunctional integrated devices.
