▎ 摘 要
Here, we demonstrated a facile electrochemical approach for deposition of graphene nanosheets on copper substrate. The corrosion activity of graphene coating over bare copper counterpart was investigated with potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. The surface of bare copper substrates got destroyed and showed fractures in saline environment attributed to the poor corrosion resistance. Interestingly, the graphene coating remained intact under same stringent conditions and showed robust resistance to corrosion with an inhibition efficiency above 94.3%. The emerging potential of graphene sheets as a metal protecting layer can be believed to be due to the unique physical and chemical properties. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
