We have proposed and analyzed the plasmonically induced reflection (PIR) effect in a graphene plasmonic device numerically using the two-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method. The obtained PIR window is due to the destructive interference between the bright and the dark modes of the resonators. As an application, a channel add-drop filter based on this PIR window has been proposed and analyzed. The proposed filter and its effect are useful in photonic-integrated circuits and nanoplasmonic devices. (C) 2017 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE)
