Design micro-nano structure and composite conductive carbon materials have important influence to improve the stability of structure and accelerate electron transportation. Here, two identified manganese carbonate with spherical and ellipsoidal shape were modified by graphene and carbon nanotubes, exhibiting high discharge capacity and excellent long-term cyclic performance as anodes for lithium storage. The graphene/ellipsoidal MnCO3 sample delivers a reversible capacity of 1110 mAh g(-1) at 1000 mA g(-1 )after 500 cycles. The outstanding electrochemical performance and facile synthesize route suggest the validity of our method, and enable the modified MnCO3 composites to be promising anodes for LIBs.
