▎ 摘  要

A new method to synthesize graphene and highly oriented graphite via Ni-catalyzed solid phase segregation using amorphous carbon as a resource by the rapid microwave heating process (RMHP) in air was demonstrated. By controlling input powers of the microwave, the annealing temperature could be controlled, enabling this synthesis to dissolve the carbon atoms into catalyst layer. With annealing under an adequate temperature in air, the carbon solute in the Ni will retard the formation of the NiO film on the surface by reduction process. The switching stresses at the surface from the competition between the oxidation and reduction will squeeze the dissolved carbon and keep transporting the surface carbon feedstock to the rear of the catalyst layer. The oriented graphite layers are thus grown and the converting rate from the source to graphite layer is similar to 80%. The graphene layers will be later segregated on the reduced Ni surface during cooling process. The entire process is within several minutes. The low power consumption and rapidity make this technique to be a promising method for different demands.
