Integrating graphene with other kinds of biochemical molecules is an effective way to improve the properties of graphene film. Proteins are promising candidates for graphene hybridization. We create an effective method to prepare multifunctional graphene hybrid film by incorporation of antibacterial protamine. Protamine could be stably adsorbed on the surface of GO as both a reductant and an antibiotic to realize antimicrobial protamine/ RGO conjugates. The presence of decorated protein layers makes it possible to adjust the physical performance of the composite. The obtained hybrid papers show improved hydrophilic property of reduced GO paper. These freestanding papers have a reversible humidity response shape-memory effect and great antibacterial property. The facile strategy possesses a promising way to develop multifunctional antibacterial materials.
