The Silver (Ag)-Graphene oxide (GO)-Poly (vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) composites were prepared by solution casting techniques and their dielectric properties were measured. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and X-ray analysis (XRD) confirmed that Ag layers were formed on the surface of the Graphene oxide sheets and homogeneously dispersed into the PVDFHFP matrix. The result showed that the incorporation of Ag-GO nanoparticles greatly improved the dielectric constant value nearly about 65 at 100 Hz, which is comparatively much higher than that of pure PVDF-HFP. Furthermore, the dielectric loss of the composite remained at a low level (<0.1 at 100 Hz). A percolation threshold of 1.5 vol% of Ag-GO was calculated and explained accordingly. The composite having high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss might be used as dielectric materials for electronic capacitors. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
