▎ 摘 要
Application of graphene for barrier protection of metal due to its impermeability to ions and molecules has been discussed widely in the scientific community. In this report, we present our investigation on corrosion inhibiting properties of reduced graphene oxide flakes. An attempt is made to correlate concentration of graphene flakes in metal corroding medium with corrosion inhibitor efficiency. The inhibiting effect is investigated on corrosion behavior of cold rolled steel in 1.4 M hydrochloric acid solution by weight loss and electrochemistry Tafel plots. The results show that reduced graphene oxide suppresses iron corrosion in 1.4 M hydrochloric acid by adsorption on the surface due to reduced hydrogen ion exchange current density. This paper provides useful and original information for application of reduced graphene oxide as a corrosion inhibitor.
