▎ 摘 要
A new effect in graphene nanoribbons in the presence of crossed uniform electric and magnetic fields and scattering from impurities is predicted. The magnetization and magnetic susceptibility are shown to be modulated through the dimensionless parameter (beta = v(F)B/E). As beta increases to 1, the values of magnetization and magnetic susceptibility increase to positive infinity or decrease to negative infinity. Meanwhile, the amplitude of magnetic oscillations collapses due to the associative effect of impurity scattering and temperature. Moreover, the oscillation amplitude displays an increasing trend with the increasing width in both zigzag and armchair nanoribbons. Our theoretical results, strikingly different from the standard non-relativistic 2D electron gas, are attributed to the anomalous Landau level spectrum of graphene nanoribbons. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V.
