A facile and rapid electrochemical sensor based on ionic liquid/chitosan/graphene nanosheets (IL/CS/GNs) was fabricated for the determination of bisphenol A (BPA)in this work. IL/CS/GNs composite was synthesized using a nontoxic, rapid, simple and green method and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Meanwhile, the electrochemical performance towards the oxidation of BPA on IL/CS/GNs modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was tested by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) techniques. Under the optimized conditions, the anodic peak current (Ipa) was proportional to the BPA concentration in the range of 0.02 similar to 0.10 mM (r = 0 . 9928 ) and 0.10 similar to 1.0 mM (r = 0 . 9953 ) with the detection limit (S/N = 3 ) of 0.19 mu mol/L. In order to confirm the reliability, the thus-fabricated sensor was applied to determine the concentration of BPA in milk samples. Our results demonstrated that the recoveries of BPA in milk on IL/CS/GNs GCE were in the range of 97.33-107.3%. This study provides a promising way for rapid analysis of emergency pollution affairs of BPA.
