NOVELTY - Antistatic laminate film structure comprises a transparent support structure and an antistatic layer comprising at least one antistatic component comprising graphene, single or multi-wall native or derivatized carbon nanotubes, semiconducting materials, core-shell conductive nanoparticles, organic conductive materials or their polymers or copolymers, organic or inorganic ionic salts or materials, conductive colloids, ionic resins, and/or acrylate materials. USE - The antistatic laminate film structure is useful for making ophthalmic product. ADVANTAGE - The antistatic laminate film structure: has a haze value of less than 1%, preferably less than 0.5% (claimed); contains sputtered conductive antistatic film layers, including indium tin oxide, zinc oxide and zinc oxide-indium(III) oxide, which exhibit high optical clarity and maximum light transmission and conductivity; contains surfaces with little to no attraction to foreign particles, and thus no foreign particles are attracted to the surfaces involved during the manufacturing and to the final ophthalmic product; and contains a substrate or coating and enhancing or neutral layer which enhance the antistatic performance. The neutral layer inhibits or prevents negative influence from a laminate layer or substrate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for producing the antistatic film structure comprising combining the transparent support structure and the antistatic layer.
