NOVELTY - A ruthenium dioxide/graphene two-dimensional material comprises graphene and ruthenium dioxide which is adsorbed on the graphene, and has intrinsic defects. USE - Ruthenium dioxide/graphene two-dimensional material for use as oxygen evolution electrocatalyst (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The ruthenium dioxide/graphene two-dimensional material has an intrinsic oxygen-deficient ruthenium dioxide structure, does not need to be corroded by acid solution, and effectively solves the problem that the ruthenium dioxide oxygen-deficiency structure only can be generated in the acidic solution. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: 1. the preparation method of ruthenium dioxide/graphene two-dimensional material, which involves (a) preparing solution containing ruthenium precursor and graphene oxide, (b) drying the solution, and (c) annealing the solid dried in step (b) in the presence of non-reactive gas to obtain a final product; and 2. the application of the ruthenium dioxide/graphene two-dimensional material as oxygen evolution electrocatalyst.
