NOVELTY - Preparing aza porous carbon loaded transition metal nanoparticles/single-atoms double-active-position type electro-catalyst comprises e.g.(i) dissolving the zinc nitrate hexahydrate in methanol solution to obtain A solution, dissolving the dimethylimidazole in methanol solution to obtain B solution, dispersing the graphene oxide ultrasonically in water to obtain C solution, adding the B solution into the A solution, stirring, adding C solution, stirring continuously, washing the product, freezing and drying to obtain the zeolitic imidazolate framework-8/graphene oxide material. USE - The aza porous carbon loaded transition metal nanoparticles/single-atoms double-active-position type electro-catalyst is useful in electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide to prepare synthesis gas (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: prepares electro-catalyst with good dispersibility and high potential by solving problems of high over potential, poor selectivity, and difficulty in accurately regulating the composition ratio of synthesis gas and using as cathode material for electrically catalyzing and reducing carbon dioxide and hydrogen to generate synthesis gas product with large current density; and is simple and easy-to-operate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) Aza porous carbon loaded transition metal nanoparticles/single-atoms double-active-position type electro-catalyst, prepared as mentioned above; and (2) Application of aza porous carbon loaded transition metal nanoparticles/single-atoms double-active-position type electro-catalyst in electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide to prepare synthesis gas.
