NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide comprises taking graphite as the anode and stainless steel as the cathode, connecting the anode and the cathode to the power source, inserting into the electrolytic tank containing the electrolyte, where the electrolyte consists of a main component, an additive and deionized water and the main component is sodium carbonate and sodium phosphate, turning on the power, carrying out the generation of a liquid phase plasma in an energized state by the electrolyte and performing an arc discharge which rapidly carry out stripping and oxidizing of the graphite. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method can effectively improve the production efficiency of the graphene oxide with high yield; has simple process, easy operation, no strong oxidant; is environmentally- friendly.
