NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene nano-coil comprises sequentially subjecting the mixed liquid containing reducing organic solvent, noble metal source and graphitic carbon material to liquid nitrogen cooling and microwave treatment to obtain graphene nano coil loaded with noble metal nanoparticles, where the graphitic carbon material comprises graphite oxide and/or doped graphite oxide. USE - The modified graphene nano-coil is useful as a catalyst in an electrocatalytic redox reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: avoids the carrier graphene form agglomeration structure and improves the catalytic activity of the catalyst; and provides the modified graphene nano-coil with improved chemical stability and specific surface area of the graphene, so as to increase the active site of the carrier, thus improving the loading amount of noble metal nano-particle with catalytic action on the graphene carrier.
