NOVELTY - Lithium ion battery cathode material comprises m-silicon monoxide/nickel/rGO complex, where the m-silicon dioxide is nanoscale silicon dioxide, rGO is reduced graphene oxide, the m-silicon dioxide is around the outer side of the rGO as substrate and the nickel is adsorbed on the outer side of the rGO. USE - Used as lithium ion battery cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The cathode material can improve the cycle performance of silicon-based cathode material; improves the head ring coulomb efficiency; has mild conditions for the method and quick reaction; can be synthesized in ordinary laboratory; and reduces the technical threshold. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing cathode material of lithium ion battery comprising (a) selecting the micron-sized silicon dioxide, reducing the particle size to the nanometer level, to obtain m-silicon dioxide, (b) mixing the m-silicon dioxide and graphene oxide and carrying out hydrothermal reaction, to obtain a monolithic silica/reduced graphene oxide complex material marked as m-silicon dioxide/rGO, (c) taking m-silicon dioxide/rGO, mixing with nickel-containing compounds and sintering.
