▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Polyethylene-based material for tribological applications, comprises: 60-90 %mass high molar mass polyethylene matrix (HMMPE); and 10-40 %mass ultra high molar mass polyethylene (UHMMPE) and/or 0.01-0.1 %mass graphene oxide. USE - The polyethylene-based material is used for tribological applications such as biomedical implants, bearings, gears and surface coating on dump truck buckets, production conveyors and ore feed hoppers. ADVANTAGE - The polyethylene-based material is simple and low in production cost, and has high resistance to abrasive wear and low coefficient of friction with high resistance to abrasive wear, is very economically attractive for several sectors of the industry, and has excellent tribological performance, where the low coefficient of friction of the materials allows mechanical components manufactured from them to operate with lower energy consumption compared to UHMMPE components. The polyethylene-based material adopts three materials suitable for replacing UHMMPE as a single material and even as a composite material with insertion of the fillers to increase wear resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for obtaining the polyethylene-based material for tribological applications, comprising mixing the materials, HMMPE and graphene oxide, HMMPE and UHMMPE, or HMMPE, UHMMPE and graphene oxide, in a twin screw extruder, and molding each of the three materials by hot pressing.
