NOVELTY - Preparing vanadium disulfide/graphene composite material comprises dissolving vanadium source in water and uniformly mixing with an excessive amount of sulfur source to obtain a mixed solution A, uniformly mixing graphene oxide with the mixed solution A, reacting at temperature of 150-200 degrees C, and completing the reaction to obtain vanadium disulfide/graphene composite material. USE - The composite material is useful: in lithium ion batteries (claimed); and as chemical active material in lithium ion battery cathode. ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple; overcomes the shortcomings of the vanadium disulfide and graphene; improves the chemical activity of the material; and produces lithium ion battery having good circulation reversibility and relatively high specific capacity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the vanadium disulfide/graphene composite material prepared by the above mentioned method.
