NOVELTY - Preparing soft carbon particles comprises (i) mixing the soft carbon raw material and first modifying agent, and using a heating and stirring device to mix the solid mixture A under liquid state, carbonizing the carbonized precursor, crushing, sieving to obtain a modified soft carbon particles A, (ii) mixing the soft carbon raw material, second modifier and conductive agent to obtain a solid mixture B, using the heating and stirring device to mix the solid mixture B in a liquid state, cooling to obtain block product, crushing the block product, sieving, and (iii) mixing the modified soft carbon particles A and modified soft carbon precursor particles B and performing coating treatment of modified soft carbon precursor particle B to modified soft carbon particle A, carbonizing, crushing, sieving to obtain a soft carbon particles for cathode material of lithium-ion battery, where the grain diameter of the modified soft carbon precursor particle B is 3-10 μm. USE - The soft carbon particle is useful for cathode material of lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The particle has high capacity and excellent fast charging performance of lithium battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for soft carbon particles prepared by above method.
