▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - An aminated graphene is prepared by reacting graphene with aminating reagent in a solvent or a solvent-deionized water mixture. USE - Preparation of aminated graphene for composition and UV absorbing additive (all claimed). Can be used as component for moisture barrier polymer composite, moisture barrier film, gas barrier polymer composite or gas barrier film. ADVANTAGE - The method allows for the synthesis to be easily scaled up, and for the reaction to be performed at 1 atmospheric pressure. Direct amination of exfoliated graphene eliminates the need for pre-functionalization, and high-pressure reaction vessels. The use of high boiling point solvent, like ethylene glycol, makes it easy to synthesize using ambient pressure. Direct gas fluorination of exfoliated pristine graphene successfully produces fluorinated graphene (FG) with enhanced hydrophobicity and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) aminated graphene comprising graphene which reacts with aminating reagent in a solvent or solvent-deionized water mixture, where the amount of amine functional groups (-NH2) is 1-50 mass%, and amount of carbon is 30-99 mass%; (2) composition selected from coating, polymer, composite and polymer film comprising the aminated graphene; and (3) UV absorbing additive comprising aminated graphene. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows an explanatory view of the aminated graphene.
