▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A graphene-based coating suspension comprises graphene sheets each having two opposed parallel surfaces. The thin film coating has 0.5 -100 nm thick anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal coated on and covering at least 50% area of one of two parallel surfaces, and binder resin dissolved or dispersed in a liquid medium. The graphene sheets contain single-layer or graphene sheet layers selected from pristine graphene material having essentially zero % of non-carbon elements, or non-pristine graphene material having 0.001-47 wt.% non-carbon elements. The non-pristine graphene is graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene, and/or chemically functionalized graphene. The content of graphene sheets is 0.1-30 wt.% of total coating suspension weight excluding the liquid medium. USE - Graphene-based coating suspension. ADVANTAGE - The suspension has improved abrasion resistance, non-stick performance and chemical protection. It requires lesser amount of anodic or sacrificial material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) an object or structure coated at least with the coating suspension; and (2) a process for producing graphene-based coating suspension which comprises providing continuous film of graphene sheets into a deposition zone; introducing vapor or atoms of an anti-corrosive pigment or metal into deposition zone and depositing vapor or atoms onto surfaces of graphene sheets to form coated film of anti-corrosive material-coated graphene sheets; mechanically breaking coated film into multiple pieces of anti-corrosive material-coated graphene sheets; and dispersing pieces of anti-corrosive material-coated graphene sheets and binder resin in a liquid medium to form coating suspension. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing is a flow chart showing a process for producing oxidized graphene sheets that entails chemical oxidation/intercalation, rinsing, and high-temperature exfoliation procedures.
