▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A graphene-like conjugated benzophenanthrene discotic liquid crystal compound (I) or (II), is new. USE - New graphene-like conjugated benzophenanthrene discotic liquid crystal compound is used for organic light-emitting diode, field-effect transistor, chemical sensor, flexible display screen, new energy battery, organic photovoltaic and other organic photoelectric functional devices and related composite materials. The substituted benzophenanthrene derivative is used in preparation of organic functional material, drug development application and crystal engineering application (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene-like conjugated benzophenanthrene discotic liquid crystal compound has wide mesogenic temperature range, and desired charge transfer rate and luminescent property, and can be prepared by simple and efficient method with high yield, and reduced by-product formation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene-like conjugated benzophenanthrene discotic liquid crystal compound of formula (I) or (II), is new. R = -CnH2n+1 or -OCnH2n+1; n = more than 6 to less than 14;and Ar' = rigid (or semi-rigid, flexible) spacer group, preferably aryl, heterocyclyl, fused heterocyclyl and/or their derivatives, more preferably group derived from compounds of formulae (i-1)-(i-24). INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the graphene-like conjugated benzophenanthrene discotic liquid crystal compound; (2) substituted benzophenanthrene derivative of formula (III); and (3) preparation of the derivative (III), which involves adding benzophenanthrene derivative reactant of formula (III-1) to dichloromethane at -50 degrees C, protecting from light, adding a solvent, preferably triethylamine, stirring, reacting for 0.5 hour, adding perfluorobutanesulfonyl fluoride (or trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride) to the reaction system through a syringe, maintaining at -50 degrees C, stirring for 1-2 hours, and reacting at room temperature overnight in the dark condition to obtain triphenylene perfluorobutanesulfonate compound of formula (IV). R1 = -CnH2n+1 or -OCnH2n+1;and R2 = group of formula (i) or (ii).
