NOVELTY - A lubricating oil additive comprises 5-8 %mass nitrogen-containing borate, 65-75 %mass polyol ester, 3-5 %mass rare earth chloride solution, 1-2 %mass graphene, 1-2 %mass silane coupling agent, 1-2 %mass anti-settling agent, 1-2 %mass dispersant and 13-25 %mass base oil. USE - The lubricating oil additive is useful for internal combustion engine. ADVANTAGE - The lubricating oil additive has excellent heat resistance, lubricity and abrasion resistance, prolongs the service life of the internal combustion engine, and reduces the emission of poisonous gas. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation method of lubricating oil additive, which involves weighing above raw materials, adding graphene to the base oil, heating and uniformly stirring to obtain mixed solution, adding silane coupling agent to the mixed solution and stirring, adding anti-settling agent and dispersant and uniformly stirring, adding nitrogen-containing borate, polyol ester and rare earth chloride solution, heating and uniformly stirring.
