NOVELTY - Method for preparing a sewage treatment catalyst, involves (a) dissolving graphene oxide in deionized water and ultrasonically treating to obtain a uniform suspension, as dispersion (a), (b) adding ethanol solution to dispersion (a) and continuously stirring to obtain dispersion (b), (c) adding manganese acetate tetrahydrate and L-lysine into dispersion (b), and continuously stirring to obtain suspension (c), transferring suspension (c) to an autoclave lined with PTFE for hydrothermally-reacting, and (d) washing the obtained black product several times to wash away excess unreacted components and impurities, freeze-drying the product, and finally obtaining manganese tetroxide/graphene composite aerogel, which is the product. USE - The method is useful for preparing a sewage treatment catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method ensures adsorption rate of trimanganese tetroxide/graphene composite aerogel for phenol of 58%, and degradation rate of 98%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an application of the sewage treatment catalyst in sewage treatment.
