NOVELTY - An adhesive-free graphite/silicon electrode comprises graphene/silicon multilayer structure and copper foil layer, where the copper foil layer surface is coated with graphene/silicon multilayer structure layer. USE - Adhesive-free graphite/silicon electrode for use in lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The adhesive-free graphite/silicon electrode has better bonding effect, high capacity and circulation stability, and can be prepared in a simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing adhesive-free graphite/silicon electrode, which involves dispersing a 0.1-2 mg/ml graphite oxide solution in sodium hydroxide solution to pH of 5-10, adding reducing agent to the dispersed solution in a water bath with ratio of 5-12:1 to prepare graphene colloid, performing surface modification on a copper foil by soaking in organic acid or hydrogen peroxide, washing the copper foil with deionized water, adding the graphene colloid with silicon and surface active agent to mass ratio of 20-80:0-5:15-80 to prepare graphene/silicon mixture paste, coating the mixture paste uniformly in the copper foil, followed by drying to obtain adhesive-free graphite/silicon electrode.
