NOVELTY - The apparatus (2) has a piezoelectric substrate (4) that is configured to propagate a surface acoustic wave (6) and a transducer (8) is coupled to the piezoelectric substrate. One graphene electrode (10) is configured to transduce a propagating surface acoustic wave to an electrical signal (11). USE - Apparatus for transducing surface acoustic wave to electrical signal in semiconductor device such as FET and Schottky diode. ADVANTAGE - The surface acoustic wave can be transduced to electrical signal to produce efficient alternating electrical output signal for high frequency operation.
