NOVELTY - Graphite electrode comprises graphite source and electrically insulating hydrophobic filler, where the electrically insulating hydrophobic filler is filled between particles of the graphite source, and the mass ratio of the graphite source and the electrically insulating hydrophobic filler is 200:(1-200). USE - The graphite electrode is useful for electrochemically preparing graphene. ADVANTAGE - The graphite electrode uses insulating and hydrophobic material as electrically insulating hydrophobic filler to fill the graphite source, so that water molecules cannot penetrate into the graphite electrode, the graphite electrode does not produce capillary phenomenon and disintegrate, and maintains excellent conductivity, solves the problem that the graphite electrode disintegrates due to the gas generated during the electrochemical preparation of graphene and the problem which graphite electrode cannot continuously conduct electricity, so that continuous preparation of graphene is achieved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the graphite electrode, which involves heating electrically insulating hydrophobic filler to melt, adding graphite source, uniformly stirring, feeding the mixture to a mold and cooling.
