NOVELTY - A film-containing base material comprises film having laminated structure and containing carbon-type nanomaterials which cover base material surface. Carbon-type nanomaterials are carbon nanotube, graphene, fullerene, carbon black, and Ketchen Black. USE - A film-containing base material for sliding components and machine elements, such as bearing, automatic transmission valve, bolt, nut, and piston. ADVANTAGE - Sharp reduction of friction coefficient can be attained, and a sliding component with outstanding sliding characteristics can be produced. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacturing method of film-containing base material which involves preparing solution containing dispersed carbon-type nanomaterials, soaking base material surface in the solution, drying wet base material surface with the solution, and heating base material at 300-600 degrees C in vacuum atmosphere or inert gas atmosphere.
