NOVELTY - Adsorbent comprises 100-300 pts. wt. activated carbon, 50-80 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 20-30 pts. wt. acrylamide, 10-25 pts. wt. gray calcium powder, 25-40 pts. wt. nano silicate and 70-100 pts. wt. deionized water. USE - The adsorbent is useful for diesel fuel desulfurization. ADVANTAGE - The adsorbent has a very large specific surface, and is rich in active sites, the pore structure of activated carbon is developed, large specific surface area, and has excellent desulfurization and adsorption effect. The method is simple, economical and environmentally friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the adsorbent, comprising (i) adding graphene oxide to deionized water and dispersing uniformly by ultrasound to obtain graphene oxide dispersion, and (ii) adding activated carbon, acrylamide, grey calcium powder, nano silicate to graphene oxide dispersion, heating at 100-110 degrees C for 2 hours, drying, grinding and passing through 300 mesh sieve.
