▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A graphene-based current collector contains unitary graphene layer containing closely packed and chemically-bonded parallel graphene planes having inter-graphene plane spacing of 0.335-0.4 nm and oxygen content of less than 5 wt.%, and has average grain size of more than 5 mu m and physical density of more than 1.8 g/cm3. The unitary graphene layer is obtained by heat-treating graphene oxide gel at temperature of more than 100 degrees C. USE - Graphene-based current collector is used as anode current collector and cathode current collector for rechargeable lithium battery e.g. lithium-sulfur cell, lithium-selenium cell, lithium-sulfur-selenium cell, lithium-air cell, lithium-graphene cell and lithium-carbon cell, and capacitor e.g. symmetric ultracapacitor, asymmetric ultracapacitor cell, hybrid supercapacitor-battery cell and lithium-ion capacitor cell (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to electric vehicle, microelectronic device, hybrid electric vehicle, laptop computers and mobile phones. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-based current collector is economical, electrolyte-compatible, non-reactive, ultra-thin and lightweight, and reduces the cell weight and volume. The battery using the collector has high specific energy, gravimetric and volumetric energy densities, cycle stability, and long cycle life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) rechargeable lithium battery or lithium-ion battery, which comprises current collector as an anode current collector or a cathode current collector; and (2) capacitor, which comprises a current collector as an anode current collector and cathode current collector.
