NOVELTY - Layered lithium metal composite cathode comprises two dimensional matrix material and the lithium metal which are stacked alternately. The two-dimensional matrix material and lithium metal are alternately distributed in layers in the composite cathode. The thickness of each layer is adjustable according to the process control, and the thickness range of a single layer is 1-0.5 mm. USE - The cathode is useful for thermal batteries (claimed). ADVANTAGE - Because of the layered framework structure with high specific surface area and high lithium metal content, the layered composite lithium electrode exhibits excellent large current discharge performance and long-time discharge performance as heat battery cathode. At the same time, in the working process of the heat battery, the molten metal lithium is absorbed and fixed in the composite electrode structure by the lithium-philic layered framework, reducing the safety risk caused by the metal lithium overflow of the battery, and increasing the safety of heat battery. The preparation method is simple, and the layered structure is easy to adjust, the adaptability is strong, and it can satisfy for large scale of the weight battery and the requirement of diversified production.
