NOVELTY - Zika virus detection sensor comprises a board, a graphene channel layer provided on the substrate, a pair of metals spaced apart from both ends of the graphene channel layer, and a linker layer provided on the graphene channel layer and composed of N-heterocyclic carbene compound. USE - The sensor is useful for detecting zika virus (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sensor detects zika virus with excellent sensitivity and selectivity, and prevents nonspecific binding of detection signal by directly attaching unwanted biomaterials to graphene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for producing the zika virus detection sensor, which involves forming graphene channel layers by growing graphene by chemical vapor deposition using a hydrocarbon gas as a carbon source on the substrate, forming a pair of metal on the graphene channel layer by a thermal deposition process, and forming a linker layer using a surface treating agent comprising N-heterocyclic carbene compound on the surface exposed to the outside of the graphene channel layer.
