NOVELTY - Preparing sound-proof graphene EPS comprises (i) taking graphite of 20-150 mesh size as raw material, purity is greater than 99%, mixing graphite and oxide intercalation agent for intercalation, where the oxidative intercalation agent is acid, nitrate and/or potassium permanganate, and the mass ratio between graphite, acid, nitrate and potassium permanganate is 1:1-5:0.1-0.5:0.1-0.5, (ii) continuous puffing of intercalated graphite for 5-100 seconds in 2450 MHz high-frequency microwave, controlling output power at 50-150 KW, discharging, performing simple ultrasonic peeling into graphene layers with 3-10 layers, specific surface area of 1000-1900 m2/g, and layer thickness of 1-5 nm, and (iii) mixing graphene with alcohol for 1-5 hours, where the mass ratio between graphene and alcohol is 1:5-10, filtering and drying to obtain final product. USE - The sound-proof graphene EPS is useful in military noise reduction fields. ADVANTAGE - The graphene: disperse well in the EPS cell structure; absorbs shock waves, shock absorption energy consumption; has thermal insulation; and has a tensile strength of 0.6-0.8 Mpa, compressive strength of 0.3-0.4 Mpa, thermal conductivity of 0.0275-0.0285 W/(mK), flame retardant grade B1, sound insulation of 60 dB, and large specific surface area.
