NOVELTY - Method for preparing hydrophobic graphene film involves (i) adding graphene oxide to water, stirring and ultrasonically treating to obtain a uniformly dispersed graphene dispersion, (ii) adding nanoparticles into water, stirring and ultrasonically treating to obtain a uniformly dispersed nanoparticle dispersion, (iii) mixing hydrophobic modifier, water, and ethanol, and uniformly stirring to obtain a hydrolyzed hydrophobic modifier solution, (iv) adding the nanoparticle dispersion to the graphene dispersion, uniformly stirring, depositing on support by vacuum filtration to form a nano-film and drying to obtain rough graphene film, and (v) soaking the prepared film in the hydrophobic modifier solution for a period of time, cleaning the surface of the film, and forming the hydrophobic graphene film by heat treatment. USE - The method is useful for preparing hydrophobic graphene film. ADVANTAGE - The method enhances interlayer pores and surface roughness of the graphene film by intercalated nanoparticles and treats with long-chain alkanes to obtain the hydrophobic graphene film, improves the surface roughness and hydrophobicity of the graphene oxide, is simple and convenient to realize the effective desalination and anti-pollution performance of the hydrophobic graphene film in the membrane distillation process.
