NOVELTY - The electrode (100) has an electrode layer (110) and a protective layer (120) that is formed on one side of the electrode layer. The electrode layer is provided with a catalyst carrier (132) in which a metal catalyst (131) is applied to a carbon carrier, an antioxidant (133) and an ionomer (134). The protective layer is provided with an ionomer layer (120a) with a side contacting the electrode layer and another ionomer (135). A catalyst layer (120b) is formed on other side of the ionomer layer and is provided with catalyst carrier in which the metal catalyst is carried on the carbon carrier, antioxidant and ionomer. The carbon carrier comprises one of acetylene black, carbon black, porous carbon, carbon nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibers, graphene, graphite carbon or combination. USE - Electrode used in membrane electrode assembly (claimed) for fuel cell such as polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The interfacial bonding force between the electrode and electrolyte membrane is improved. The durability of the electrode and electrolyte membrane is improved. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a membrane electrode assembly for fuel cell; and (2) a method for producing membrane-electrode assembly.
