NOVELTY - Manufacture of silver ion adsorbent material involves uniformly dispersing chitosan-graphene based composite material in acetic acid solution, adding 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane, such that volume ratio of silane and acetic acid is 5:4 and mass ratio of composite material and acetic acid is 1.2:1, stirring, adding sodium hydroxide solution to adjust the pH to 7-7.5, adding glutaraldehyde solution such that volume ratio of glutaraldehyde to acetic acid is 3:16, stirring, and reacting at 3-4 degrees C for 20 hours or more to obtain mercapto-modified chitosan-graphene oxide composite material. USE - Manufacture of adsorbent material for adsorbing silver ions. ADVANTAGE - The adsorbent material capable of selectively, quickly and effectively adsorbing silver ions at high adsorption rate is manufactured.
